STEWARDSHIP DEACON JOHN S STEWARDSHIP COLUMN My name is Isabella Bancro. I am 12 years old and in 7th grade at St. Rose School in Girard. In the past, I aended St. Patrick s School for four years. In the future I plan to aend Ursuline High School. I go to Mass every week with my family. I believe that it is important to go every week. When I go to Mass, I listen and learn. I use what I learn in my everyday life. When I receive the Body of Christ, I feel faithful and strengthened. Aer Mass, I am closer to the Lord Jesus. It is important to stay close to the Lord no maer what. Stewardship is helping others and doing something good for Jesus. To me, stewardship is very important in my everyday life. I have been taught to always help others and not to be afraid to get my hands dirty working for others and the Lord. Therefore, serving others and the Lord is always a good thing. Some ways that I serve God are that I am an altar server and assist at weddings. I help at the Lenten fish fry's and fesval. I am always willing to help anyone who needs it. I know that if anything is for the Lord, I will do it without queson. 50 / 50 POT OF GOLD Our weekly drawing for Pot of Gold was on Wednesday, July 11. The winning number was #3138. The winners were Chris & Jen Conway, receiving $808.00. The next drawing will be on Wednesday morning, July 18. Please make sure your envelopes are at the Parish House by 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Good Luck! DON T FORGET YOUR 2018 BISHOP S APPEAL Our goal as a parish is $68,634.00 for the 2018 Bishop s Appeal. As of 7/6/18, we have received pledges from 381 donors totaling $68,562.00 which is 99.9% of our parish goal. We only have $72.00 remaining to meet our goal. If you have not yet made your pledge, please consider doing so. Thank you for your incredible generosity to the appeal. BULLETIN DEADLINE July 19 for July 29 Bullen Please email arcles to be included in upcoming bullens to klucci@youngstowndiocese.org. SHARING YOUR TREASURE He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking sckno food, no sack, no money in their belts. (Mark 6:8) How different we are from the Apostles who took nothing when they ventured out to serve God. Today, we make our life s journey more difficult because of all the material baggage that we drag along. When we really put God first in everything and put money and possessions second, we experience more freedom to joyfully serve God and others.
