In the first chapter of Mark s Gospel, we read that Jesus was passing by the Sea of Galilee when he saw Simon and Andrew casting their nets into the sea. He said to them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men. They left their nets and followed him. As they walked on further they met James and John. Jesus invited them to also follow him and become fishers of men. They too left everything and followed him. On the day of our baptism, Jesus invited us to do the same: to become fishers of men and women. As such we reach out to inactive Catholics and to those who are not Catholic and invite them to follow Jesus as well. How wonderful it would be, if each one of us could bring one inactive Catholic back to the Church or bring a non-catholic into the Church. Are you willing to try?
