If you plan on coming, you can sign up in front of the church after anyone of the Masses, or you can call the office to give your name and the number attending. We need to have a count no later than Thursday, September 23, so we can make sure we have enough food for everyone. Instead of a fee, we ask for a free-will offering. Hope to see many of you there. CATHOLIC CHARITIES COLLECTION Next weekend we will have a second collection for Catholic Charities in our diocese. This organization provides advocacy and social services to the poor and vulnerable regardless of age, race, or religion. It aims to provide services and advocacy for local needs guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching which emphasizes the dignity of every human person. This person will act as a liaison between the Pastor, the Director of Faith Formation and Youth Ministries in the Parish. The Director of youth ministry provides vision and coordination for young people from 8th through 12th grades. This includes weekly high school sessions, weekly youth mass attendance (Sundays), monthly activities, and an annual weekend retreat. Applications are being accepted until October 4, 2021. Our Blessed Mother and her Holy Rosary. The month of October is dedicated to our Blessed Mother and her Holy Rosary. On October the 9th at 4pm, the community of St. Mary's will be hosting our 2nd annual "Living Rosary". This event is held outdoors, in the parking lot in front of Our Lady of Fatima's shrine. Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed. To create this beautiful homage to Our Lady, we are asking for at least 60 people to participate. Each volunteer will represent a bead and be placed in the shape of a rosary. One person will hold a microphone and move through the "human rosary". This is a very powerful prayer and wonderful experience!! If you would like to be part of this "Human Rosary" please call Patty Liekhus at (714)-3567315. Families, friends and parishioners are welcome to join us. Bring your chairs and rosaries. This takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Saturday night Mass and "Bingo, Burgers and Brew" will follow. This is a great family activity, as we say the rosary one person at a time while we pray for our world.

Let s show our love and support to our Seminarians! Our seven Seminarians just headed off for a new school year. For most this will be a 7 or 8 -year journey. We are so blessed that they have answered God s call to the amazing vocation of the priesthood. These young men are not able to have outside employment while in the seminary, so they have limited sources of income. St. Mary s Vocation Committee would like to show our love and support to these young men as they start their school year by sending them each a care package. We did this last year and they were incredibly grateful. The parishioners of St. Mary s are always very generous. We have a list of items they have said they would like to have but we can go beyond the list with items such as gift cards, snacks and notes of encouragement and other items you might send a student going off to college.
